Mrs. Middleton is well known and loved tremendously. Last year, she served as an assistant principal for Waxahachie High School. Before that, Middleton was an agricultural teacher from 2005 to 2018. The reason she returned to the classroom? Well, she missed teaching her students! She enjoys watching her students grow. Not to mention that she missed being around all of the goats, sheep, and rabbits!

Middleton was in the class of 2001 at Waxahachie High School. After her graduation, she headed to Tarleton University and graduated from there in 2005.

While attending high school, Middelton was heavily involved in the Waxahachie FFA Chapter. She participated in leadership developments such as Chapter Conducting. Her experience at Tarleton University only furthered her love for agriculture and the FFA. Now, Middleton is the Chapter Conducting, Creed Speaking, and Quiz Team coach.

Middleton’s favorite animals to show are sheep and goats.

Middleton said that her favorite rodeo and stock show to go to is the one held in Fort Worth. The history of the city is captivating. Additionally, it is close to home, so it is less of a drive than some of the other Texas stock shows and rodeos.

Mrs. Middleton’s favorite thing about teaching is seeing her students succeed and getting a passion for agriculture and FFA, and even maybe watching them go to college for agriculture.

Mrs. Middleton has been married since January 5th, 2002 and has four kids, and one of her kids goes to school at WHS. Her son, Jonathan Middleton, is a junior this year. Jonathan, president of the current Waxachahie FFA Chapter and Vice President of the FFA Blackland District, is following in the steps of his mother. Jonathan shows goats just like his mom used to when she was in high school. Middleton has made such a big impact on so many kids that have come in and out of Waxahachie High School.
