Living in the same town your whole life is quite a privilege. You end up knowing the majority of the people, old and young. At the end of freshman year, my parents told me that we were moving. And it wasn’t a “30 minutes away” kind of move. We were moving to La Vernia, TX that is near San Antonio… four hours away from my HOME. All the tears I cried, and goodbyes I said were unreal. I never thought about what it would be like to leave my friends and family. I was very unsure about moving at first because when you are in high school, it is hard to be the new kid. I also did not have any friends in La Vernia, so that was a hard thing to overcome. But, being a coach’s kid, you tend to get along very well with other coach’s kids. And that is exactly what happened. I met one of my best friends because of this move, and I would not change a single thing about my moving experience. Although I had a much better time than expected, I knew that I wanted to come back home. Once again, at the end of the year, my parents told me that we were moving back home and I could not be any happier with my roller coaster of a life.
