Last Saturday, I went with a friend to see “The 5th Wave,” a movie I’ve been anticipating for a month. All in all, the movie was a slight letdown. Though the storyline was interesting and I cared about the character’s well- beings, the plot twist that was built up throughout the movie was actually quite predictable. More than once, I made predictions as to what might happen to the characters, and I was proven right every time. The movie closed with more than one loose ending and left me confused and wanting more information. I wouldn’t recommend this movie for anyone seeking an interesting, action-packed film. If a sequel is made, I’m unsure as to whether I’d spend my money to go see it. Three stars.
