Cherokee Charmers First Performance.

Cherokee+Charmers+First+Performance.

The Cherokee Charmers 55th line has their first performances on Friday. These girls have been working on these dances for months and preparing for the Friday Night Lights. This week, they will be performing a pom routine to “Think” and a pep rally pom to a remix of “Pretty Girls”. From the “Do it Agains!” to the arm weights, these 31 girls are more than ready to show off all of their hard work. This year marks 55 years of the Charmers being at WHS. Fifty five years of high kicks, jump splits, precision, and many memories for many women that have been a part of this wonderful legacy that has impacted WHS in many ways.

“It is a great organization of young ladies that are self-disciplined and motivated,” Senior Captain Monica Hernandez said. “These girls work hard each and every day in and out of Charmers.”

This organization isn’t just a group of girls dancing for fun, it is a sisterhood that changes lives. Many teachers at WHS today are Charmer Alumni, and the lessons they learned are still with them today. All in all, the WHS Cherokee Charmers are a wonderful organization and are ready to begin their 55th year!
