Indians lose to Highland Park

After the 32-21 loss to Highland Park, the Indians plan to learn from the mistakes and build on their successes as they get ready to take on the Ennis Lions this upcoming week in the Battle of 287.

They battled hard, but eventually fell short to the reigning state champs.

Sophomore Caimyn Layne said, “I thought we could have done a lot better but I felt alright coming out of the game. We just made mistakes.”

Lane went on to say that he thinks that Highland Park didn’t beat them, they beat themselves and the loss is something they can build on.

The Indians will need to bring their “A” game if they want to defend the Battle of 287 title.
