Runnin’ Indians

After last years playoff run, the Indians fell one point short of going to the state tournament.

“I enjoy being at Waxahachie,” Head Coah Greg Gober said. “It’s really rewarding, and the kids have a tremendous work ethic.”

He believes the team leaders are Larry Wise, Mar’Qualen Grant, Montre Gipson and Jaylen Warren.

Last season, Senior Larry Wise made 49% of his shots below the arc and 51% behind the arc.

“We will do big things this year,” Wise said.

Players are anxiously waiting to get revenge on the team that defeated them in playoffs, Mansfield Timberview.

“I am really looking forward to playing Timberview and Midlothian,” Junior Jaylen Warren said.

Waxahachie has multiple players with offers from many different colleges.

“It’s a fun experience and it’s a blessing to have the opportunity to get looked at by the best,” Wise said.

The Indians are looking to go undefeated through the season and playoffs.
