“A Quiet Place”

I attended Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas on Friday, April 6. I was really excited about seeing “A Quiet Place” ever since I saw the trailer a month earlier. My dad and I went to the 8:40 showing even with all the weird weather. We arrived at the Drafthouse and went to the restaurant because we were hungry. As we finished our meal, we took our seats.

I came to my seat a little after my dad, because I was sidetracked with the popcorn, and I was shocked to find an automatic recliner and table with a menu. This theater treated us like royalty. We ordered our drinks and the movie began. As I watched this film, I noticed something about it – I have never been more shocked with an outcome of a movie. “A Quiet Place” is one of, if not the best, films I have ever seen. John Krasinski has outdone himself as a director. The film is a simple, heartfelt, story about family, love, survival, and monsters as a horror factor. The jump scares and plot twists had me on the edge of my seat. It just has everything a movie lover would want in an enjoyable weekend movie. I highly recommend “A Quiet Place” and rate it with a 5 out 5 stars.
