“Strawberry Fields Forever” by the Beatles plays as Student Body President, Madeline Condor, drives down HWY. 287 on her way to Waxahachie High School.

Madeline is also the NHS Treasurer and President of Theatre. She’s an activist at her school and in her community. She spends her community service period at Felty Elementary with Noel Baskin and her 5th-grade class. Madeline spends her summers working as a lifeguard at the Optimist Pool where she gets to be with kids and teach them how to swim.

Madeline’s love for children has led her in the direction of wanting to be an OB-GYN.

She said, “It’s a privilege to bring life into the world and be the first face new life sees.”

Condor’s plan is to attend Baylor University where she will major in Biology and minor in Women’s Studies. Her goal in life is to get through med-school and become a doctor.

Being the oldest child of four, she has learned to be a good leader when needed. As Student Body President, she took the leadership role as a chance to be the voice of the school and her peers. One of the things she would like to accomplish as president is to start a compost garden to help the environment. Madeline is proud of her involvement in her school but is most proud of being known for her warm heart and welcoming personality.

“I hope I am remembered as a person who always lends a helping hand and just a kind person people can talk to,” Madeline said.
