Twas the Week Before Christmas

Twas the week before break, when all through the school every student was stirring and losing their cool. The children were nestled with dreams full of dread, for fears of exams still danced in their head. Despair settled in as the pencils went down, and little uneasiness came over the town. Teachers they stood with a gleam in their eye, and took no excuse no matter how hard you would cry. They did math and English but to no avail, for the score that they made one could already tell. With a heavy heart and a mournful soul, the students carried away their hopes in an empty bowl. A vacation awaited around the next bend, with prospects of joys and toys that it may lend. But the memories of the failure that occurred clouded their vision in a big blur. Fun and fascination of snow and holiday glee where soon put to rest by the school’s merriment killing spree. Exams will still linger far past the testing room, The questions and problems will always will loom. When the second semester then rolls around, the pupils will be ready for a rebound.
