Traveling for the Holidays

“It would be fun,” they said. “It’s just a three and a half hour ride to Oklahoma.” At the time, I only had the positive things in my head. Like getting to see my family, presents, Christmas dinner, and to visit with some old friends. As soon as we started to pull out of the driveway, I knew I had made the wrong choice.  The ride started off fine, but as the time passed, my four brothers started to argue and aggravate everyone in the car.  Although the ride is a beating, you seem to forget about it as soon as you pull up to your Grandma’s house and get out of the car.

“Traveling can be super stressful, but being able to spend time and enjoy Christmas with family is a blessing,” said freshman Makenzie Blair.

“I hate traveling and then getting stuck in traffic because people don’t know how to drive or won’t get out of the way,” said senior Jacob Santos.

“The worst thing about traveling is the anticipation of driving and getting to open your gifts,” said junior Derek Holder.

“I usually only go anywhere because I where I am headed is going to have really good food but always I hate the drive,” said sophomore Kade Johnson.
