Since it was first announced in February of 2020, “Friends” fans have eagerly waited for the reunion special on HBO Max, but they do not know whether or not they will bring back the characters. 

It was until recently on “The Graham Norton Show” that David Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller, hinted that the cast may act out their former roles as well as share their favorite memories for the special.

“I’m going to see everyone next week for the first time in many years,” he exclaimed.

Also, on “The Andy Cohen Show” on SiriusXM, Schwimmer revealed everything that will not occur during the special, specifically who won’t be hosting it.

“I can tell you it’s not Ellen, it’s not Billy Crystal,” David said.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reunion special has delayed production since May of 2020; however, the “Friends” cast is ready to start shooting. Schwimmer revealed that they will start production early this week, so fans should be expecting a release date very soon!
