Senior Jud Willett has been a part of the Student Council for all four years of being at Waxahachie high school. Jud is this year’s Student Body President. He is also tied for 2023 class Valedictorian. He has always been a very hard worker and puts his mind to anything and everything. Jud has many big things coming his way!

To Jud, StuCo means community and spirit. StuCo plans many events from Rockout, Homecoming, the Winter Extravaganza, dress-up days, and many more. It takes lots of time and responsibility to be a leader in this program. StuCo requires constant morning Zero Hours and Monday night meetings, along with ongoing group messages.

Jud is always looking for a good way to challenge himself and be a better leader. Jud is always having to think on his feet and roll with the punches with so many last-minute events that have to be organized or important people who need to meet with him.

WHS StuCo is lucky to have Jud; he is always making his fellow officers laugh and creating fun memories. Jud plans to join other student organizations in college to find a sense of community.

“My favorite memory from StuCo is our lock-in at the school last year,” said Willet. “Playing basketball, volleyball, and being with everyone at the high school was a lot of fun .”
