John Wesley Nelms is a 10th grader at Waxahachie HighSchool. He plays on the Varsity Football team.

Nelms said, “My life growing up was amazing and fun.” In his early years, Nelms played football for a little peewee football league. He also has two brothers, Jasean and Jaden, who shaped his childhood experience. He looks up to his dad who hunts, coaches, and raises his two other sons.

Nelms’ life goal is to make it to the NFL. He focuses on football the most because that is what he grew up playing and preferring over the other sports he placed, such as: football, basketball, soccer, and baseball.

Nelms said, “The most important thing in my life at the moment is my pet puppy, Rocky.”

Nelms aspires to go to college, but he has not decided on which one he prefers. He wishes to have one kid, a little boy, when he is older.
