One Act Play Going to State!

The WHS One Act Play won their 5A regional contest at Prosper High School on Tuesday, April 17, securing their spot representing the Indians at the 5A State contest. The play A Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime, won 1st place with a score of 1-1-2, with multiple individual awards being given throughout the cast and crew.

The play is about a young boy with autism named Christopher going on a journey to solve the mystery of who killed his neighbor’s dog, Wellington. It is a touching story, about the flaws in people, and ability to of anyone to overcome them.

Junior Sam Linguist won his fourth Best Actor award in a row. Junior Max Nicholson won All-Star Crew, seniors Caleb Barnett and Emme Sullivan both won All-Star Cast, and Junior Kaylee Sanchez and Senior Katy Wilson each took home a Honorable Mention Award. This is the most awards the One Act team has ever taken home at a Region contest.

State contest is April 24th in Round Rock, Texas.
