Cherokee Charmers Take Grand

The Waxahachie High School Cherokee Charmers took off to Mansfield Legacy High School on January 28th to compete their elite and officer routines. The Charmers first competition was a major success as they took home a multitude of awards. The Charmer officers were awarded with sweepstakes & judges award and best in category jazz, novelty, hip hop and modern. The Elite teams were awarded sweepstakes & judges award, best in category jazz, hip hop and kick and overall grand champions. Division I solo rating goes to Lauren Lyle and Delaney Pricer with Ashely Bosch being the overall solo grand champion & scholarship recipient. Lyle and Bosch received duet champions; Lyle also received senior kickmaster champion. The charmers were proud of their success at their first competition and being able to call themselves grand champions. Their next competition is February 4th in Georgetown at East View High School and they plan to continue their great start of competition season until nationals in March.
