Jared “JT” Thomas has been playing baseball for 12 years. He plays in many different positions, but his primary position is center field. Over the past summer, Thomas committed to continue his baseball career at The University of Texas. He had opportunities to play ball at other schools, but he chose Texas because it was a personal lifelong goal of his to play there.

Thomas said, “I’ve been wearing burnt orange stuff ever since I was a little kid. Getting the opportunity to play there was like a dream come true.”

When asked about the upcoming high school season, Jared seems hopeful for the team. He believes the team will be really good this year and is excited for the season to start. He says his favorite thing about high school baseball is being able to compete on the field with his best friends.

Thomas also has many hobbies outside of baseball. He enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and fishing.

When asked about his hobbies, Thomas said “One of my favorite things to do is to hop on Call of Duty with the boys and play all night long. During quarantine, we did that every night, and it was some of the funniest nights I’ve ever had.”
