Nick Livingston is a sophomore swimmer and has a promising future ahead of him.
He tied the 500-yard freestyle record as a freshman, and inches towards breaking some more every meet.
“The person who is on the record board the most, and who taught me how to dive is Levi David,” Livingston said. “This is what motivates me.”
Junior Lucas Kelley admires his teammate.
“Nick has a strong work ethic and a constant desire to get better,” Kelly said. “He does a great job as an anchor on the relay teams because he always bumps us up a few places.”
Livingston said he practices about three hours a day, several days a week. This hard work will help him reach his goals.
“I would like to break the 100 backstroke, and the 500 and 200 freestyle,” Livingston said.
Livingston has a positive outlook toward the rest of this year, as he and the swim team look forward to the upcoming season.
“I like the community of the people on the swim team,” he said. “It’s a lot of fun.”
