Parking Lot Fiasco

The WHS parking lot is the home to our vehicles for eight hours a day. We expect them to be safe and sound when parked in our favorite spots, yet sometimes things happen. Kids do get into fender benders occasionally. What should you do if you happen to be the driver that is in the fender bender? First things first, ask if they have insurance. This is the most important thing to get. It’s your choice to call the cops but if you don’t, then you have no police report. If not, it’s your word against the other drivers. After speaking with the security officers of WHS, it is better to call the police when anything happens to your car, regardless of the location.

So how do you deal with the other driver? Simply be polite, and ask for the correct information. The wrong thing to do is get mad and get out of your car yelling all kinds of profanities. Sure, your car just got damaged but things happen. Call the police then your parents. Calling your parents as soon as possible is always ideal. Letting them know as soon as something happens is always best.
Be a responsible, safe driver. Do what you know is right, and things will work out.
